Ethics at 1000 Planets Inc.
Overview:
From the beginning, 1000 Planets personnel have always recognized and sought to perform at the highest ethical and moral standards. As 1000 planets Inc. grew, all personnel recognized the need to formally communicate our standards of conduct not only to new comers but also to the global public. We at 1000 Planets Inc. wish to create and maintain a honourable record of ethical and moral conduct - for virtual perpetuity.
1000 Planets Inc. strongly believes maintaining the highest ethical and moral standards requires a strong partnership between all personnel.
The 1000 Planets Inc. Ethics Code has three primary functions :
- To ensure that business policies and practices continue to be aligned with ethical and moral principles.
- To clearly communicate ethical and moral expectations.
- To provide conduits for feedback through which all personnel can ask questions, voice concerns, and seek resolution to ethical and moral issues.
- A reputation and honorable track record for ethics and integrity is vital for establishing the trust the trust between all -- personnel, customers, suppliers, governments, and communities need to understand and appreciate the importance of these principles.
Ethics is Important
Our reputation and success depends upon all of the decisions we make and all the actions we take personally each day. Our values, morals and ethics determine how we evaluate our decisions and actions -and thus, our ventures.

- Trusting one another to use sound judgment in our use of 1000 Planets Inc. business, scientific, technological and information systems.
- Understanding that even though 1000 Planets Inc. has the obligation to monitor its business information systems activity, we will respect privacy by prohibiting random searches of individual personnel communications.
- Recognizing that conduct socially and professionally acceptable in one culture and location may be viewed differently in another.

- Offering full disclosure and withdrawing ourselves from discussions and decisions when our business judgment appears to be in conflict with a personal interest.
- Respecting the rights and property of others, including their intellectual property. Accepting confidential or trade secret information only after we clearly understand our obligations as defined in a non-disclosure agreement.
- Competing fairly without collusion or collaboration with competitors to divide markets, set prices, restrict production, allocate customers or otherwise restrain competition and innovation.
- Assuring that no payments or favors are offered to influence others to do something wrong or questionable.
- Keeping records that are accurate and include all payments, receipts and documentation.
- Exercising good judgment in the exchange of business courtesies, meals and entertainment by avoiding activities that could create even the appearance that our decisions could be compromised.
- Refusing to speculate in 1000 Planets Inc. stock through frequent buying and selling or through other forms of speculative trading.
